El Sobrante El Sobrante is a scenic valley with great views from the hills and is the site of much recent residential development at affordable prices. El Sobrante is a reasonably good commute to San Francisco. It is only 14 miles from the Bay Bridge toll plaza, and San Pablo Dam Road leads directly to and from Central Contra Costa County.
